Getting to South Korea
Visa and entry requirements
South Korea allows visa-free entry for many nationalities, including the US, Canada, the EU/Schengen Area, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan, and many others. As of 2026, most of these travelers are temporarily exempt from K-ETA — but everyone must submit the new e-Arrival Card instead.
6 months passport validity
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your arrival date in South Korea—check this before booking flights.
K-ETA currently waived
Korea has extended the K-ETA exemption for 60+ visa-free countries through December 31, 2026. Check here your country requirements.
e-Arrival Card required
Since January 1, 2026, all travelers not holding a K-ETA must submit the online e-Arrival Card within 3 days of arrival.
